About Us

Every project is different. We understand that. But our process is geared toward making every project move from concept to completion as smoothly as possible. The following is an example of what to expect when working with Front Porch.

PHASE 1
Free Consultation, Rough Estimate & Feasibility Study (no fee, no commitment)
After a preliminary discussion, we meet with you in your home to listen to your ideas, set expectations and determine a budget. We will share any ideas we have to accomplish your goals and help establish a project timeline. At this meeting we will take preliminary measurements and pictures and will complie a rough estimate within two weeks. At this point we will meet to discuss your initial thoughts and review the feasibility and cost value of your project.

PHASE 2
Design & Proposal (small fee, low commitment)
Once you are happy with the rough estimate, is it time to sign a Design Agreement and/or a Firm Proposal. If you already have architectural drawing or your project is small enough, you can move directly to the Firm Proposal.

The following steps are taken to develop a Firm Proposal:
1) Complete measurements and detailed onsite photos
2) Receive and apply accurate labor and material bids from vendors and sub contractors. This may involve presenting several samples for you to choose from
3) Complete a detailed estimate and contract agreement proposal
4) Present concept drawings for final review or complete existing drawings.

Producing these documents is an important step in helping you make your final construction decisions. Your investment in the Final Proposal is applied to your project if work commences.

PHASE 3
Construction (project commitment & terms)
It’s time to get to work. We will follow our job schedule as closely as possible and keep you update with any changes. You will be able to track the progress on your home using both the online project calendar and project blog. When the project is complete you will be given a punch list for final approval. Front Porch stands by its work and will follow up on every project to ensure your complete satisfaction.
